The Central Maine region has a plethora of education resources. In addition to quality secondary school systems in the region, there are three post-secondary institutions in Central Maine.
Colby College
Founded in 1813, Colby College in Waterville, Maine, is a four-year college that grants a Bachelor of Arts degree. Kennebec Valley Community College (KVCC)
KVCC, one of the seven colleges in the Maine Community College System, is a commuter college located on a sixty-four acre campus in Fairfield, Maine. KVCC was organized in 1969 by the 104th Maine Legislature and currently has an enrollment of 2,184 full and part-time students. Thomas College
Thomas College is a private, career-oriented College that is committed to preparing its undergraduates for careers in business, criminal justice, psychology, accounting, communication, technology and education. On average, 94 percent of Thomas graduates are hired in their field of study within 90 days of graduation. Currently, Thomas is the only College in the country to offer this program.
In addition to the career-specific and liberal arts undergraduate courses, Thomas offers graduate degrees and continuing education courses.
