Who are we?

The Central Maine Growth Council is central Maine's only non-profit public/private partnership dedicated to collaborative economic development.

What is our mission?

To foster a robust regional economy fueled by a genuine collaboration among governments, businesses and residents, resulting in a highly desirable multi-town community in which to live, work and raise a family. We accomplish this by:

  • Proactively marketing Central Maine as a viable business location
  • Assembling and disseminating pertinent economic development information about the region
  • Both working with and assisting local businesses and assisting prospects/site selectors interested in this area
How can we help?

The CMGC serves as a conduit for information and resources to businesses and industries seeking to locate or expand in central Maine. We do provide a variety of services and information to:

  • Assist our businesses and communities
  • Gather & provide economic information, such as commercial real estate and demographics
  • Coordinate economic development efforts in the region
  • Work with both the public and private sectors to encourage collaboration
